We're excited too share what our #newyear is looking like and hope you're going to join us on this #journey! #DigitalIndia
Yogesh Tiwari from District Dhar in #MadhyaPradesh was an inspiration to meet! He pursued a hardware course before buying a #laptop because there was no one to repair them in his #village. While he is a Physical Education teacher at Mandu Higher Secondary School, he is unofficially the local #interetguru along with being the one everyone comes to with their hardware woes. And while he has a smart phone, he can't afford the 3G on it so he hotspots with the dongle he owns and shares that with his friends when need be. A little over a year back, we made this video on India transforming into a #cashless #economy. Given the economic mood today and the multiple debates on #demonetisation, this conversation stays all the more relevant today!
We met Ritik as a 14-year-old in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh on our second drive. His story of learning #Spanish from Google Translate so he could help his father with Spanish tourists was inspirational to say the least! We're excited that his story reached Digital India who called him for a talk recently to share his story at an event they were hosting. We're proud of how far Ritik has come. His story is truly representative of how our country is slowly but steadily going #digital. #DigitalIndia #StoriesFromIndia
#DigitalIndia is starting with the villages of India! Inspirational!
With 2016 coming to a close, here's a glance at our journey so far! Now to own 2017 :)
Like most rural artists, Kallu from Village Bassi in #Rajasthan does not have much knowledge about the the marketing and commercial opportunities that lie outside the traditional structures of doing business. With middle men getting the best of both worlds, when we met Kallu, he was jaded with how the system for traditional artists like him worked. But what brought him hope was the #internet and the possibility of bypassing the middle man. Thanks to #TVCs he's now aware of #mobileapps that can help him further his business and is exploring the best options for himself.Photo by Ishaan Gupta #Deshruption #DigitalIndia #DigitalStories #StoriesFromIndia #InspirationalStories #BusinessInIndia #RuralArtistes #TraditionalArt #IndianArt #StoriesThatInspire #TransformingIndia #DigitalForward #OnlyInIndia

Bhagwati Lal Chippa of the village Akola in #Rajasthan dropped out of #university where he was pursuing a Bachelors in Commerce. This to join the family hand print and tie and dye business. He now uses WhatsApp as his main mode of #communication with his clients. This has resulted in cutting down the order communication time from 15 days via a courier to a few hours! If that isn't #technology creating #disruption, we don't know what is! #Deshruption #IndiaGoesDigital #TransformingIndia #StoriesFromIndia #DigitalStories Photo by Ishaan Gupta
